What is the difference between a CRM and a customer portal?
A CRM is used by your team to manage contacts, history and sales follow-up. A customer portal lets customers access information or complete actions themselves. These are separate functions; external access and the relevant permissions must be defined in the project scope.
Do we need a full CRM to manage our customers?
Not necessarily. A focused tool with contacts, statuses, notes and follow-up tasks may be enough. We start by identifying information the team loses or duplicates, then define the features needed to address that problem.
Can our existing contacts be imported from Excel?
An import can be included after reviewing the structure and quality of the files. Fields need to be mapped, duplicates addressed and the data to be transferred confirmed. Preparation and import work should be part of the agreed scope.
